Registration for the 2025/2026 season is OPEN!

Get registered for your age group to get more information about fall training sessions, tryouts and other program activities.

  • High School Tryouts (Freshman, JV & Varsity): December 1st (2:30 pm - 4:30 pm) and December 2nd (4:00 pm - 6:00 pm) both at the Rec
  • Middle School Tryouts (7th & 8th Grade): December 1st through the 3rd (more specific time will be shared) at the Middle School
  • Travel (3rd - 6th Grade): November 17th (3:30 pm - 5:00 pm) and 18th (6:30 pm - 8:00 pm) both at the Rec

Objectives & Expected Level Of Play By Division

HS: Varsity

The goal of High School Varsity Basketball within a program is to develop highly skilled, disciplined, and competitive athletes who represent their school with pride and integrity. It aims to prepare players to perform at their best through rigorous training, strategic gameplay, and strong teamwork, while fostering leadership, resilience, and sportsmanship. Beyond winning games and championships, the varsity program strives to build character, promote personal growth, and create a positive, supportive environment where student-athletes can excel both on the court and in their academic and personal lives.

HS: JV

The goal of Junior Varsity (JV) Basketball within a high school program is to develop foundational skills, build confidence, and prepare student-athletes for the increased competition and demands of varsity play. It provides a supportive environment where players can gain valuable game experience, improve their basketball fundamentals, and learn the team’s systems and culture. The JV program focuses on growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship, helping athletes develop both their athletic abilities and personal character as they progress toward becoming contributing members of the varsity team.

HS: Freshman

The goal of Freshman Basketball within a high school program is to introduce student-athletes to the fundamentals of the game, foster a strong work ethic, and help them transition smoothly into high school athletics. It emphasizes skill development, understanding of basic team concepts, and building confidence in a supportive and encouraging environment. The Freshman program aims to cultivate a love for the sport, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and lay the foundation for future success as players advance to higher levels of competition.

Middle School

The goal of Middle School Basketball within a program is to introduce young athletes to the fundamentals of basketball in a fun and supportive environment, encouraging physical activity, teamwork, and a passion for the game. It focuses on developing basic skills, understanding sportsmanship, and building confidence while promoting positive social interactions and personal growth. The middle school program serves as a foundation for future athletic development, helping students prepare for the challenges and expectations of high school basketball.

Travel

The goal of Travel (sub–Middle School) Basketball within a program is to introduce children to the basic skills and enjoyment of basketball in a fun, positive, and inclusive environment. It focuses on developing fundamental motor skills, fostering teamwork, and teaching the importance of sportsmanship and fair play. The program aims to spark a lifelong love for the game while promoting physical fitness, confidence, and social interaction, laying the groundwork for continued growth and participation in basketball as students advance to higher levels.

Recreation

The Recreation League provides players of all ages and skill levels with an enjoyable, low‑pressure environment where they can learn proper basic techniques, stay active, and build friendships. Emphasizing participation and sportsmanship over competition, the program teaches fundamentals - pivoting, dribbling, passing and the basics of game play in an engaging, patient setting. Its focus on skill development, teamwork, and a positive attitude aims to foster a lasting love of basketball while promoting physical fitness, confidence, and community involvement.
